Pokedex series: Rapidash x Reader

Today's the day you become a official pokemon rider, you always wanted to be one ever since you were a kid. Riding a cool gogoat, or a tough rhydon though the fields, the possibilites were endless.

You get out of your house and hurry to the pokemon ranch where riding pokemon are, ''Hi there Donnel!'' you wave to your best friend [BF/N], he/she was the owner of the ranch.''Hey there [Y/N]! Ready for your riding pokemon?'' You nod, and he/she leads you to the pokemon. There was baby pokemon like ponytas, and skiddos on the left side, normal-sized pokemon like lapas, and Rhydon on the right side, and in the middle was expect-pokemon like Dotrio and Mamoswine. You look around for the perfect pokemon till you spot her.

A Rapidash, her body and legs were dirty, messy, her flames were small and low, her eyes were also a firey red but dim. She looked horrible in others eyes but to you, she was breath-taking to you ''Oh you want Adena don't you?'' [BF/N] Said in a nervous tone ''Yes! She's perfect I don't see no problem at all'' ''Well..She got here recently, and was dumped by her trainer. She's been cold ,depressed now, she wouldn't even let me wash her. The poor girl I feel sorry for her'' [BF/N] said with his/her eyebrows down. ''I'll take care of her, i'll clean her, brush her, i'll even love her more than her old trainer! Just let me please let me!'' You plead, using the puppy dog method, [BF/N] stared at you for a few minutes then sigh ''Alright but don't start complaining to me okay'' [BF/N] Said in a strict tone, ''Yay! Thank you [BF/N]'' You hug him/her, and walk to the stall where Rapidash was.

She looked at you, and immediately back away from you ''Woah, woah girl calm down! She's not going to hurt you!'' [BF/N] Tries to calm her down but, that just made her freak-out more. You also tried to calm her down, you get closer to her, put your hand on her head and petted her gently ''Ssshh, it's ok no one's going to hurt you'' She slowly calms down, and relaxes ''How did you do that [Y/N]?'' ''Guess i'm good with pokemon''

It's been a week since you took care of Rapidash, and a day away from the riding tournament. You were training with Rapidash, till you spot a certain rival with her/his pokemon Tauros ''Why hello there [Y/N] I see your fine and well'' [R/N] Said sarcastically with a sour honey like voice ''What do you want [R/N], can't you see I just want peace'' You sigh once you saw him/her, Rapidash eyes widen when she saw him/her and started freaking out again ''What's wrong Adena?'' You tried to calm her down but she wouldn't calm down.

[R/N] Just laughs ''Looks like my old flame,is very happy to see me'' You glared at her/him and Rapidash couldn't take it any more and runs off ''ADENA?!'' You chase after her, all the way to the back of the tournament, she finally stops running and stares at some pictures on the wall, you also stop out of breath, and almost falling to the ground ''Wow...Guess..I....trained you...well..huh'' You look at what she was looking at and there were posters of your rival and Rapidash in a cool-looking pose. 'So that's why Adena freaked out.' ''Hey Adena, you know you don't have to be afraid of your old trainer anymore'' You said leaning against her, she shakes a little bit, and relaxes to your touch, her eyes start to tear up remembering fhe time [R/N] left her because of one loss in the race.

''Hey don't cry, it's not your fault it happened...hey tell you what! If we win this race we can do a little prank on him/her and I'll make you, your favorite Oran sauce'' You said trying to make her feel better, Rapidash smiles and nuzzle your face which caused you to giggle. ''Alright let's go home, and prepare for tomorrow'' Rapidash nods and you ride on her to home.

When the race ended you won, was able to keep Rapidash, and was able to prank on [R/N].
